In our first event of 2026, eleven Landing residents toured St Nicholas Market, entertainingly led by Duncan Mckellar of St Nicks Tours. Duncan’s talk was masterly – starting with Bristol in Saxon times, ending with visits to St Nicholas Market by the Rolling Stones. Duncan’s talk focussed on the 1940 Blitz, when the basement of the market was an air-raid shelter for 200 persons.
